Overview
Caleb Dresser is a practicing emergency physician whose work focuses on two key questions: First, what does climate change mean for our healthcare systems and the patients we serve? And second, what can we do to address this situation? Answering these questions has meant building a mixed-methods portfolio that includes developing and testing resources for clinicians and administrators, analyzing operational and medical records data, and using spatial methods to understand risk to healthcare facilities.

Caleb is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an Assistant Professor in Environmental Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He serves as Assistant Director of the Physician Fellowship in Climate and Human Health, leads work on Healthcare Solutions at Harvard Chan Center for Climate, Health, and the Global Environment, and is a member of the Faculty of Emergency Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. Caleb holds a degree in Medicine from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and in Public Health from the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine and Fellowship in Climate Change and Human Health at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
